Regarding the current build of gpdf, it looks like we need a new ebuild.

"The maintainer of gpdf has released a version of gpdf for 2.4.1 which
includes printing support. But he didn't announcing it. It is on 
ftp.gnome.org. I have filed a bug agains the package.. but the package
maintainer hasn't done anything about it. What about a NMU?"

where's the quote from ?

We have 0.111 in the tree which contains some printing support afaik. The 0.12x series are development and aren't going to be in the tree.
