I have MAKESOPTS="-j8". net-libs/webkit-gtk builds one. CXX. File. At. A. Time. This leads it to take longer to build than all but perhaps a half-dozen packages on my system. I was once told that a package which forces a -j value overriding make.conf should have that filed as a bug against it. So here it is. Ok, so now I understand why it builds serially; bug 323249's fix involved forcing it to build serially. However, I insist that building serially is still a bug; this isn't a duplicate of bug 323249, it's *caused* by the implemented solution to bug 323249. Reading the comments for bug 323249, it makes more sense that this bug be renamed "stable net-libs/webkit-gtk builds serially", and that it be blocked on a stabilization request for webkit-1.4.x (which I just submitted as bug 384653)
