Created attachment 285615 [details] yafc debug for a connection and ls command on a ftp that works with yafc 1.1.1 and doesn't work with yafc 1.1.2 We use here a lot yafc and since the version 1.1.2 there are many ftp sites that doesn't work as expected: on theses FTP, the "ls" command return nothing at all even if there is some directory or files. I have downgraded to 1.1.1 (ebuild rename and create manifest) and that's works. So there is a regression somewhere between yafc-1.1.1 and yafc 1.1.2. For info, the problem happens when logging on a FTP of type: Pure-FTPd [privsep] [TLS] in passive mode. I've logged debug info for yafc on a good attempt with yafc 1.1.1 et a bad attempt with yafc 1.1.2. There is a difference after have typed "ls" in yafc: -8<--------yafc-1.1.2-------8<- (ls failed) yafc XXXXXX:/> ls --> [upload.xxxxx.net] PASV <-- [upload.xxxxx.net] 227 Entering Passive Mode (@@,@@,184,227,165,77) --> [upload.xxxxx.net] MLSD -a <-- [upload.xxxxx.net] 150 Accepted data connection <-- [upload.xxxxx.net] 226-Options: -l <-- [upload.xxxxx.net] 226 0 matches total -8<--------yafc-1.1.1-------8<- (ls ok) --> [upload.xxxxx.net] PASV <-- [upload.xxxxx.net] 227 Entering Passive Mode (@@,@@,184,227,182,252) --> [upload.xxxxx.net] MLSD <-- [upload.xxxxx.net] 150 Accepted data connection <-- [upload.xxxxx.net] 226-Options: -l <-- [upload.xxxxx.net] 226 4 matches total dir1/ dir2/ dir3/ dir4/ The problem could be the "MLSD" / "MLSD -a" difference that yafc send to the FTP server. I could manage some test if you need it.

Confirmed on amd64 and ~amd64 arch.
Please do not CC arch teams next time.
(In reply to comment #3) > Please do not CC arch teams next time. I notice it. Sorry for the noise ^^
Hi, As you seem to be comfortable tweaking ebuilds, would you mind trying this tarball: https://github.com/downloads/cpages/yafc/yafc-1.1.2c.tar.bz2 Somehow the version in the ebuild was not the revision I thought. Sorry for that. I installed a local pure-ftpd to test and it seems to work. Please tell me how it goes.
I've tested the version from your tarball (https://github.com/downloads/cpages/yafc/yafc-1.1.2c.tar.bz2) and that's works perfectly ;) So i think we are good for a net-ftp/yafc-1.1.2-r1. :)
Please, check with net-ftp/yafc-1.2.5, reopen if issue still happens with it
