And this looks like the major blocker preventing us from removing libsexy :S

To be honest, I'd consider xchat/xchat-gnome broken until further notice in regard of any major upgrade.

The reason is xtext.{c,h} - while I don't know its history, I can guess it was created at about the same time GtkText was put under GTK_ENABLE_BROKEN in gtk2.

If you look at the sources of this widget, you'll note that porting it even to cairo drawing would be pure hell and without that, you can forget about any chance of gtk3 port.

It's a bit sad, cause xchat seems much more lightweight than pidgin, but that's the way how such hacks usually end.

Debian seems to provide a very recent snapshot with this and gtk3 port :/
