Fetchmail has the compile-time ability to enable SOCKS and SOCKS5 proxy usage, it would be nice to have a USE flag settable to govern this.  Seems like a simple USE & DEPEND change as well as a modification of the econf call, but if needed I can provide a patch to the current ebuild to help things along.
