Description Miguel de Val-Borro 2011-07-30 18:32:33 UTC
I have installed mpd-0.16.2 with the ogg and vorbis USE flags set. When the mpc client updates the database the ogg files in the music directory are not added to the database, however mp3 files are added and can be played normally. The ogg files seem to be fine and can be played by other programs.

Reproducible: Always

Your emerge --info output suggests that USE=ogg is not set.

Otherwise, I have no problem finding and playing .ogg files in that same MPD version, so it's not possible to reproduce this issue.

Unless you can show some actual evidence (information about the files it cannot find, including ownership and permission of those files), information from MPD's log saying it is skipping those files, there is little we can do.

Feel free to reopen this bug report when more information you have provided points to a real bug.
Comment 3 Miguel de Val-Borro 2011-08-01 07:48:36 UTC
mpd was built with the ogg USE flag. This is the output of "emerge --info =media-sound/mpd-0.16.2", am I missing some necessary USE flags?
