Please consider the stabilization of gentoo-sources-2.6.39-r3 and vanilla-sources-2.6.39.3. No wide ranging issues have been identified that affect this kernel version at this time.
amd64: =vanilla-sources-2.6.39.3 ok
AMD 64 - compiled and booted gentoo-sources-2.6.39-r3 with no problems
amd64 ok Works also for me hardened-sources on x86 ( is always gentoo-sources-based )
amd64 done. Thanks Agostino, David and Elijah
Kernel stabilization does not depend on external drivers
I cannot use it because of intel-iommu from 2.6.39.2 ^^ see https://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=373109 or https://bugzilla.kernel.org/show_bug.cgi?id=39312 This regression bug goes up to vanilla-3.0
Stable for HPPA.
I consider bug #373109 to be blocking the stabilization on x86 (we'd have to track when it's resolved upstream).

There is a patch now, but they still discuss about details. Some quote here from upstream... "Applied, but it's too late for 3.0 so I'll just submit it to all the -stable branches after 3.0-final is released. Thanks."

I've check with gitweb 2.6.39.4 doesn't contains the fix from the http://patchwork.ozlabs.org/patch/105878/, but the 3.0.1 does (http://git.kernel.org/?p=linux/kernel/git/stable/linux-3.0.y.git;a=blob;f=drivers/net/jme.c;h=19738143aa91b4ea46adc39c2074087abc692f00;hb=HEAD).
