having a ecryptfs encrypted home directory with enabled auto-unmount, the use of sudo causes the encrypted home directory to unmount. When I say home directory, I mean the .Private mounted over the entire user home directory. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. having a ecryptfs encrypted home directory with auto-umount (all ecryptfs-utils and sys-apps/sudo version are affected) 2. sudo something and enter userpassword it does not happen if the sudo does not need the password entered. 3. I have this issue on multiple (amd64) boxes. Actual Results: sudo command is performed, and home directory gets unmounted.
