Description Elver Loho 2004-01-05 06:14:00 UTC
net-dialup/ppp-2.4.2_beta3-r1 will break DNS for non-priveledged apps. The new /etc/ppp/ip-up script will point /etc/resolv.conf to /etc/ppp/resolv.conf which is *NOT* readable by normal users.

A fix is trivial: add chmod a+r /etc/ppp/resolv.conf to /etc/ppp/ip-up.

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:

The new ip-up script should copy /etc/ppp/resolv.conf to /etc/resolv.conf which is 640 and root:users.
