Created attachment 277271 [details] media-sound/gmusicbrowser-1.1.7.ebuild emerge -s gmusicbrowser result: media-sound/gmusicbrowser-1.0.2 ... expected result: media-sound/gmusicbrowser-1.1.7 ... That ebuild is too old and many features have been added since 1.0.2 like the possibility to change skin seamlessly... I'm going to add 1.1.6 which is considered the latest 'stable' version on the official website, although I did not notice any bug so far with 1.1.7 on AMD64, and 9999 which give the ability to get the latest fixes,--there's already a minor (?) bug fix of 1.1.7. And yes, I've slightly modified the 'official' ebuild for 1.1.6 and Gentoo 1.0.x to add support for mplayer2,--as there's no virtual/mplayer[2] yet, this necessary as I don't want to waste my time blocking/masking package and such for trivial merge,--and add support for a plugin--titlebar--which require a Perl binding which is missing in the official/Gentoo ebuild. And yes, merging gmusicbrowser without any Perl binding will result in merging a hundred Perl binding packages! And dev-perl/MozEmbed just fails to merge, I've googled for nothing, so you're warned.

Created attachment 277279 [details] media-plugins/gmusicbrowser-art-0.1.16.ebuild This is an ebuild to get nice skin for gmusicbrowser. It's a 'live' ebuild as all the themes are located on a gihub repository. Here you can find more about the package: http://gmusicbrowser.deviantart.com/ And here the repository: https://github.com/aboettger/gmusicbrowser-layouts/
Comment on attachment 277279 [details] media-plugins/gmusicbrowser-art-0.1.16.ebuild of course you can add it to your local portage tree if you want to.
Comment on attachment 277279 [details] media-plugins/gmusicbrowser-art-0.1.16.ebuild You can add this to your local portage tree in media-plugins/gmusicbrowser-art. It's a nice package withreally good skin for gmusicbrowser... you'll spare some times trying to figure out how to code in Perl and write yours! For more info, you can go here: http://gmusicbrowser.deviantart.com/ or directly to the repository on github https://github.com/aboettger/gmusicbrowser-layouts/.

If that package could be added on portage, it'll surely help some people to get rid of the 'ugly' default gmusicbrowser skin.

Created attachment 277325 [details] media-plugins/gmusicbrowser-art-0.1.16.ebuild I've just noticed to have forgotten to add the version number on the dependency of gmusicbrowser-0.1.16.
Created attachment 277427 [details] media-sound/gmusicbrowser-1.1.7.ebuild I've edited the three ebuilds to: one remove a new USE flag setted primary to my local portage tree which won't be introduced to portage anyway, avoid needless hassle, not to give overwork to devs et al.; removed mplayer2 USE flag and edit mplayer USE flag to either mplayer{,2}. And I've found two similar bugs 329995 and 353404 that make mine a possible duplicate for the first one, because thesecond is a duplicate of the first! However, I've fixed the mplayer2 runtime issue and added a dependency package needed for a functionality of gmusicbrowser. Anyway, I don't care is this bug is marked as duplicate.
Created attachment 277429 [details] media-sound/gmusicbrowser-1.1.6.ebuild Here come the second edited ebuild!

Created attachment 277477 [details] media-plugins/gmusicbrowser-art-0.1.16.ebuild ...there's an extra `1' digit on the RDEPEND version... darn, it seems I'll never be done with this bug. THIS IS THE LAST COMMENT! And don't say I forgot something.

THIS IS THE LAST COMMENT! And don't say I forgot > something. Yes. You forgot something. ;) DEPEND="dev-vcs/git" is not required in gmusicbrowser-art since it is already present in git-2.eclass
Also, IUSE="git" is not required.
Created attachment 277523 [details] media-sound/gmusicbrowser-9999.ebuild And I'm still here again... gna gna gna! And here an updated 9999 ebuild updated with a `emerge -av =gmusicbrowser-9999' because of `EAPI=4'... and I did take a look on the 9999 ebuild on gmusicbrowser.org/devel.html which I missed when writing the previous two versions. I'm not going back here again... gna gna gna!
Created attachment 277529 [details] media-plugins/gmusicbrowser-art-0.1.16.ebuild Thanks ppurka for those two info. And here my last ebuild of this bug. There's almost nothing in this ebuild. I should take a closer look at git-2 eclass with all those good things. I'm done with it gna gna gna! really done with it ;-).
Created attachment 281625 [details] media-sound/gmusicbrowser-9999.ebuild Updated live ebuild because squentin, the developer, fixed mplayer2 issue and a few other updates/fixes, no need for the mplayer2 patch anymore.
Created attachment 281627 [details] media-plugins/gmusicbrowser-art-0.1.16.ebuild Updated gmb-art to get rid of those annoying spaces of the skin folders like 'gm-art - faenza' and such. I was tempted to move this ebuild to x11-themes as it seem to be more fitted there than media-plugins... but I'm too much of a lazzy bum to do it.
