Description Tomasz Fortuna 2004-01-04 06:30:27 UTC
The output of emerge looks as follows:
insania root # emerge -u world
Calculating world dependencies ...done!
>>> emerge (1 of 1) net-analyzer/tcpdump-3.8.1 to /
>>> md5 src_uri ;-) tcpdump-3.8.1.tar.gz
>>> Unpacking source...
>>> Unpacking tcpdump-3.8.1.tar.gz to /var/tmp/portage/tcpdump-3.8.1/work
tar: Removing leading `tcpdump-3.8.1/./' from member names
>>> Source unpacked.

!!! ERROR: net-analyzer/tcpdump-3.8.1 failed.
!!! Function econf, Line 341, Exitcode 1
!!! no configure script found

I had THE SAME error with libpcap 0.8.1 but i fix (around) it.

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1.emerge sync
2.emerge -u world
3.

Actual Results:
It didn't update. (See details)

Expected Results:
It should update. :D

See details. I think that .tar.gzs are broken.
