Current stable fails to compile with glibc-2.12. Note that I'm not familiar with the package, so don't know other ways of testing than building sorry
amd64; adjusted kernel config; emerged AOK. I also know little about scsi. Executables work from CLI.
no hw, compile test only. This is more preferred than keeping the current stable broken

If you stable, go for sys-block/open-iscsi-2.0.872. I've it a lot during the past few weeks and it works pretty well with our iSCSI gear.
