Description Chris Gianelloni (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2003-12-30 08:24:26 UTC
gphoto2 should be compiling in JPEG support when USE=jpeg, but it gets:

Configuration (gphoto2):

        Source code location: .
        Compiler: gcc

        Configuration support: yes
        Preview support: no (not requested)
        JPEG support: no (not requested)
        pkg-config: yes

At the end of the configure stage.

This is gphoto2-2.1.2.

Comment 1 foser (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2003-12-30 08:34:25 UTC
a quick check of the ebuild explains all imo : jpeg is only used in combination with aalib, so aalib is the flag to trigger here.
Comment 2 foser (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2003-12-30 08:35:21 UTC
closing as invalid, not a bug
Comment 3 Chris Gianelloni (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2003-12-30 08:46:05 UTC
Sounds fine to me... and how come you guys got the gphoto2 stuff, also?
Comment 4 Spider (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2003-12-30 09:29:15 UTC
inertia ;)
I was the only one who felt like even touching gphoto2 after a few users were hounding me about it. (that and the gtk+ interface ;)

This led to some situation where :

new release : it compiles, seems to work, but we cant test with cameras: ach, release.

Fix : trust the users.

overall I think that if you have the hardware to use this and so on, you'd be welcome to take over.
Comment 5 Chris Gianelloni (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2003-12-30 10:08:05 UTC
If I free up some time, I'd do that. Right now I am swamped with work and some of my Gentoo responsibilities are starting to fall behind.

At least I know who to contact when I get some free time as I do have a digital camera which is supported by libgphoto2.
