Description Ian Delaney (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2011-05-19 12:37:40 UTC
Attempts to emerge dev-java/jjtraveler-0.4.3-r2 falls short at unpack phase.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. emerge jjtraveller
Actual Results:
* Failed Running autoconf !

Expected Results:
effective emerge

Found on both amd64 and ~amd64.

on ~amd64
/etc/java-config-2/build/compilers.conf; no compiler set.

on amd64

The warning that appears in on re the locale setting is spurious, ? a leftover from a previous invalid entry that I need find to delete.

build log for amd64.

note the et_ET.UTF8 locale is a wrong locale acquired from another source, does not exist, and somewhere system is finding it.

patch to include the missing m4 java macros

Brute force includes the shipped acincludejava.m4, which contains the java macros which exist in shipped scripts but are wiped out by eautoreconf(?).

ebuild to go with the patch, EAPI=2

Old ebuild did not properly separate the steps. This ebuild was only tested so far that it compiled with all USE-flags disabled.

Not sure if anyone cares about this package, though. Upstream no longer has sources at the noted URL, it is redirected to the university research group page.

Comment 12 Toralf Förster gentoo-dev 2015-03-01 10:12:03 UTC
why isn't this package removed in the mean while ?
It still fails
Comment 13 Patrice Clement gentoo-dev 2015-07-30 17:45:07 UTC
This package is on its way out of Portage.

Development has stalled years ago and I'm still wondering why this stuff is still around.
