Description Tom Noonan 2011-05-09 01:19:34 UTC
While a nice feature for new users, many older users feel that functionality akin to the "searching for similar names..." feature is unnecessary and a waste of resources. Personally I prefer that when I typo an input to a command the command simply report the error and stop. I don't need portage to try and figure out what I mean, and I don't want it to waste the power to do so. I prefer portage to do what I say, and error out otherwise.

I ask that the devs please allow users to disable this new functionality via a config option. Thanks.

Reproducible: Always
