LuaJIT has recently added support for the ARMv5 and PowerPC/e500 architectures. The >=dev-lang/luajit-2.0.0_beta7 ebuilds need testing on those architectures and addition of the corresponding keywords. I recommend running the following script in LuaJIT for testing: http://luajit.org/download/scimark.lua Reproducible: Always
To clarify my removal of the arch teams: 1) Adding them was not your decision to make in the first place. 2) Keywording a new package is a voluntary task for arch teams - it not only reflects the nature of work on this project, but also of the (extra) workload that a team or individual developer allows itself to take on. 3) If you were a user of either architecture, then this would have been a valid request to begin with.
(In reply to comment #1) > 1) Adding them was not your decision to make in the first place. Sorry for that, I didn't knew it. Is there any etiquette document clarifying when it is adequate to add arch teams? As the bugzilla permits any user (i.e. no special permission is needed) to do that, it should be useful to have such a document. > 2) Keywording a new package is a voluntary task for arch teams - it not only > reflects the nature of work on this project, but also of the (extra) > workload > that a team or individual developer allows itself to take on. I understand that. This was reported only for recording purposes. That's why I marked it as "enhancement". I'm not demanding the package to be tested in those architectures. I'm only suggesting it in a "would be nice" basis. > 3) If you were a user of either architecture, then this would have been a valid > request to begin with. Well, if I was an user of either architecture, I could give access to Rafael Martins for testing it himself. The bug is only a record that it would be nice if someone with access to Gentoo in such architectures could test it so the keywords could be added.
dev-lang/luajit:2 was keyworded and stabilized on arm and ppc for quite some time.
