By unmasking www-client/firefox-4.0.1 media-libs/libvpx-9999 and dev-lang/yasm-1.1.0-r1 I was able to build firefox 4.0.1. I use it just now and it's working fine... I think yasm is an incorrect dependency for libvpx/firefox, but it's great to know that Firefox 4 works on PowerPC! Thanks for testing.
I meant www-client/firefox-4.0-r3 vp8 video are playing on youtube, albeit painfully slowly (makes it unusable for me : 1 key frame / 5s or something). I'm building 4.0.1 now. Will report back when it's done.
