with the libav/ffmpeg split, virtual/ffmpeg was introduced but not all ebuilds were modified, see the following list: dagg@Starfleet ~ $ equery d media-video/ffmpeg [ Searching for packages depending on media-video/ffmpeg... ] app-cdr/k3b-9999 (ffmpeg? >=media-video/ffmpeg-0.5) dev-games/openscenegraph-2.8.3 (ffmpeg? media-video/ffmpeg) media-plugins/mytharchive-0.23.1_p25396-r1 (>=media-video/ffmpeg-0.4.9) media-video/cinelerra-20101104 (media-video/ffmpeg) media-video/dvd-slideshow-0.8.2.2 (>=media-video/ffmpeg-0.4.9) media-video/dvdrip-0.98.11 (ffmpeg? media-video/ffmpeg) beside k3b-9999 which comes from the kde overlay, all the rest are from the official tree. the reason for this bug is the following commit in ffmpeg git: http://git.videolan.org/?p=ffmpeg.git;a=commit;h=41d0eb1c8 which removed libavcodec/opt.h and now the following list fails compilation due to that commit: media-libs/xine-lib-1.1.19 media-libs/libquicktime-1.2.2 media-sound/sox-14.3.0 media-libs/opencv-2.1.0 media-libs/gegl-0.1.6 media-tv/xbmc-9999 dev-games/openscenegraph-2.8.3 media-libs/mlt-0.5.10 media-video/transcode-1.1.5-r2 media-video/cinelerra-20101104 media-gfx/blender-2.49b-r1 some of the packages aren't failing in direct connection to that commit but nonetheless, only half of the job was done. please make sure it is fixed. Reproducible: Always
no kidding... try searching bugzilla next time :) *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 358919 ***
