Description Daniel Veillette 2003-12-24 00:48:11 UTC
Using the same .config (also after attempting a new .config) that worked with test9 and earlier, I can no longer boot 2.6 >= test10. The system hangs after:

PCI: Enabling device 0000:00:1f.1 (0005 -> 0007)
PCI: Found IRQ 11 for device 0000:00:1f.1
PCI: Sharing IRQ 11 with 0000:00:1d.2
PCI: Sharing IRQ 11 with 0000:02:00.0
ICH3M: chipset revision 2
ICH3M: not 100% native mode: will probe irqs later
    ide0: BM-DMA at 0xbfa0-0xbfa7, BIOS settings: hda:DMA, hdb:DMA
hda: IC25N040ATCS05-0, ATA DISK drive
hdb: MATSHITA CD-RW UJDA360, ATAPI CD/DVD-ROM drive
ide0 at 0x1f0-0x1f7,0x3f6 on irq 14

There is no hard drive activity after this, and the system appears to do nothing. System is a Dell Inspiron 8200, BIOS A10.

This looks like something which is brought over by some changes in 2.6.0-test10. Can you please check if you stil get this in 2.6.0, if you do, please file a bug at <http://bugme.osdl.org>. Thanks.
