This is high priority for ppc as 2.8 cannot be stabilized there (and it blocks gnome 2.32), other arches can wait for 30 days if they prefer. amd64: we will wait
Will proceed with -r2 then, for now only ppc (to speed up gnome 2.32 stabilization and fixing security bugs in that arch). Will add x86 and amd64 in the near future
ppc done; not closing bug though, as other archs might be added.
I think we can proceed with the remaining as looks to be no major problems, no?
