Description Patrick Hieber 2011-03-04 14:11:48 UTC
After emerging net-misc/apt-cacher-ng-0.5.14 from sunrise-overlay
there are two bugs.
first: in /etc/apt-cacher-ng/ the following files are missing:
* archlx_mirrors
* deb_mirrors.gz
* debvol_mirrors.gz
* cygwin_mirrors
* sfnet_mirrors
* ubuntu_mirrors

second:
 when i copy the files above from a ubuntu install and fixing permissions, the first error is solved.
 then /etc/init.d/apt-cacher-ng start up.
 but when i access the Web-GUI localhost:3142 i got the following message:
"Information about APT configuration not available, please contact the system administrator."

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. add sunrise overlay && layman -s sunrise
2. emerge net-misc/apt-cacher-ng
3. /etc/init.d/apt-cacher-ng start

Expected Results:
a) ship all required files
b) show the webgui correctly

why is it a duplicate?!?

Because all development of sunrise packages happens on the same bug until such time that it enters the main tree. Just use the other bug report - that way we have all the relevant information about an "unsupported" package in a single place.
