Description Pavel Minayev 2003-12-12 16:19:49 UTC
Here's an ebuild for Polipo web proxy.

Polipo is a caching web proxy (a web cache) designed to be used by one person or a small group of people. It is similar in spirit to WWWOFFLE, but the implementation techniques are more like the ones ones used by Squid.

This surely belongs to net-www, since both other proxies mentioned above are there. No deps as far as I can tell.

Hi,

Sorry - we can't accept your ebuild at the moment.

We can only accept ebuilds that the Gentoo developers can actively
support and maintain. Unfortunately, we currently don't have a Gentoo
developer who is willing to take on this ebuild.

If you really want to see your ebuild become part of Gentoo, then the
best way is to become a Gentoo volunteer yourself. You can volunteer
by sending an email to recruiters@gentoo.org, quoting this bug's
ID number as a reference.

Best regards,
Stu

Argh no! I just spent valueable time to create my own ebuild and then I find
there already is one! :\ Heh, whatever, I'm appending mine here as well. I
tested version 0.9.4 and it works well. The ebuild does mostly the same things
but in different ways. Also I put "as-is" for LICENSE.

Kind of merged Pavel's and mine ebuild. Am pleased with it.
