Attached there is a new and improved ebuild for version 2.1.0 of net-libs/zeromq. This bug report will be used to get feedback from final users before to commit the ebuild in the Portage tree.
Not sure I understand their versioning. 2.1.0 says beta while 2.1.1 says RC1. Which version will you aim at?

(In reply to comment #1) > Not sure I understand their versioning. 2.1.0 says beta while 2.1.1 says RC1. > Which version will you aim at? both the versions are now in bugzilla, see #357345 for 2.1.1 RC1, which is an improved ebuild that can use OpenPGM library from #355523 and not the one bundled (which is unstable and full of nasty bugs).
Will you have the zeromq-2.1.3 ebuild ready soon? Looking forward to it!

Created attachment 267549 [details] Ebuild for 2.1.3
I've taken the 2.1.1 ebuild from bug 357345 and updated it for 2.1.3. It seems to work fine, except that the patch was outdated. I've done an updated (and slightly simpler, since it deletes rather than comments out all the stuff we don't need) patch, but there's still a problem at the linking stage I'm not sure how to fix.
Okay, I've done some further work (in cooperation with Johan, thanks), and committed an initial version to the tree. Please review and suggest further changes in follow-up bugs.
