let's try to get this done
Comment 1 Yang Zhang 2011-03-24 02:43:57 UTC
It is better that we have a stablization list so we can join and test.

Preliminary stabilization list for texlive

The TeX Live stabilization should no longer be blocked by the keywordreq bugs since experimental arches don't do stabilization.

The attached list should be mostly correct. Someone needs to double-check the packages list since I may have missed something (I don't maintain *tex*).

The following packages were already stable, and new keywords were added afterwards. They can just be stabilized here.

* dev-python/pyparsing: bug 339532
* media-gfx/pydot: bug 361987
* dev-tex/dot2tex: bug 348820
* app-text/pdfjam: bug 334399
* dev-perl/Algorithm-Diff: was stabilized so long ago, I can't find the bug

The following packages already have stab bugs open for them (I'll be adding them to the blocker list next)

* dev-tex/latex-beamer: bug 373417

The rest of the packages are all fresh.

Thanks for the list; For me, tl2010 is good to go but luatex & kpathsea are a bit young, although they fix bugs on some arches... (and the versions in your list are those I want stable btw)

we're still under the 30 days rules for these 2 packages but they should fix bugs, and I'm going to start working on TeX Live 2011, so it's a good time to start stabilising, the list in comment #3 is the target for stabilisation, arches please proceed.

amd64;:

This looks like a long grind.

>>> Emerging (1 of 112) dev-libs/kpathsea-6.0.1_p20110627

From the ebuild, only DEPEND="iconv? ( virtual/libiconv )" is cited.
This is the deal; On re-emerging ptexenc with the same single use flag, it emerged fine. This implies one or more of kpathsea-6.0.1_p20110627, texi2html-1.78, pydot-1.0.23 or teckit-2.5.1 are in fact RDEPENDS of ptexenc-1.1.0_p20100722.

5 down, 107 to go.

this also implies the build log could be useful ;)
Comment 8 Ian Delaney (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2011-07-27 19:13:30 UTC
easy; a build log warrants filing.
bug 376645
Comment 9 Ian Delaney (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2011-07-27 19:15:35 UTC
and as for the rest;

smooth as silk; all in.
Comment 10 Alexis Ballier gentoo-dev 2011-07-30 21:00:14 UTC
change app-text/texlive-core-2010-r3 to app-text/texlive-core-2010-r4, thanks
it has a bug fix (which seemed to be a regression)
Comment 11 Ian Delaney (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2011-07-30 21:44:08 UTC
-r4 is good
Comment 12 Markos Chandras (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2011-08-08 20:36:27 UTC
>=dev-tex/latexmk-41 is required by app-text/texlive-2010-r2 as well
Comment 13 Markos Chandras (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2011-08-08 20:36:40 UTC
I meant >=dev-tex/latexmk-418
Comment 14 Markos Chandras (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2011-08-09 08:11:16 UTC
dev-tex/pdfannotextractor is required by app-text/texlive/texlive-2010-r2
Comment 15 Markos Chandras (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2011-08-09 13:43:36 UTC
=media-libs/silgraphite-2.3.1 is also required. This and the previous that I mentioned need to be included in that list and then it would be complete :)
Comment 16 Markos Chandras (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2011-08-09 15:32:46 UTC
What is the recommended version for dev-tex/latexmk ? 425 was bumped in 27 July and. Should we fast-stabilize that or go for 423a?

Comment 18 Markos Chandras (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2011-08-09 20:51:39 UTC
amd64 done. Thanks Agostino and Ian
Comment 19 Luis Ferreira 2011-08-10 16:18:57 UTC

Comment 20 Kacper Kowalik (Xarthisius) (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2011-08-12 15:48:36 UTC
pdfannotextractor-0.1i.ebuild:KEYWORDS="amd64 ~ppc ~ppc64 ~x86"
pdfannotextractor-0.1k.ebuild:KEYWORDS="~amd64 ~ppc ~ppc64 x86"

x86 is to eager or amd64 is laggin' behind? What should ppc* stabilize?

ppc* went for 0.1i. Should we stabilize 0.1k please file a new bug.

ppc/ppc64 stable
Comment 22 Thomas Kahle (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2011-08-12 17:24:57 UTC
x86 done.
It was a long suffering this time because during commit I got disconnected from network twice for an hour :( (did somebody say git-migration?)

As for pdfannotextractor-0.1k, we are a bleeding edge arch, so we always want the latest and greatest.
Comment 23 Markus Meier gentoo-dev 2011-08-14 19:58:23 UTC
arm stable
Comment 24 Raúl Porcel (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2011-09-18 19:02:24 UTC
alpha/ia64/s390/sh/sparc stable
Comment 25 Jeroen Roovers (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2011-10-04 18:42:46 UTC
Stable for HPPA and closing.
