Description Jens Ziller 2011-01-23 16:29:15 UTC
I have installed Evolution 2.30.3, evo2-sync, file-sync, syncml-obex-client. I can sync from file-sync and syncml-obex-client to evo2-sync. From Evolution to file or syncml-obex-client doesn't work. When I make a new Contact, delete an new contact or change a contact on the mobile phone it was synced to evolution. A change in evolution make no change on the mobilephone. A new contact in Evolution does osynctool not find:
Member 1: Adding(0) Modifying(0) Deleting(0)

If the first run (new installed) and they are contacts in evolution I see this:
zille@Schleppi1 ~ $ osynctool --sync E60 --conflict n
Synchronizing group "E60"

ERROR: At least one object engine failed while preparing the write event. Aborting

Is no contact in evolution I can sync contacts to evolution and no sync from evolution. I see no error message. I have tested with syncml-obex-client and file-sync. With both is the same result.

Reproducible: Always

This should be treecleaned as it's only for old evolution-2 anyway
Comment 4 Pacho Ramos gentoo-dev 2014-04-06 06:58:56 UTC
Looks like work is still pending, should we drop this finally?

removed. this one plugin, not the others. just leave the other be alone, there is no hurry to do anything about them at this stage, we are still waiting for upstream to finally release 0.40 someday
Comment 6 Ryan Hill (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2014-04-06 07:26:12 UTC
You can take me off any opensync stuff if you like. I never did get around to finishing it and I don't have the hardware for app-pda/barry anymore. :/
Comment 7 Samuli Suominen (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2014-04-06 07:28:26 UTC
I don't have HW either but I'll try to keep them alive as possible, and get rid of blockers, if required, like this one plug-in started to be, thanks to Gnome 3 and the intention for Gnome 2's removal
