Two patches attached. One is an update for a solaris patch which is broken as it thinks nsl & socket are available because the test works when these functions exist in libc. The second is a MINT specific patch that needs adding to the long list of prefix patches in the ebuild.
Created attachment 258609 [details, diff] new solaris patch to replace existing one
Created attachment 258611 [details, diff] FreeMiNT specific patch to add to ebuild.
And finally it needs keywording ~m68k-mint too.
Hmm, I missed this one. I think I did a similar fix to the solaris socket patch already. Mind to send the mint patch upstream? I posted most of the acceptable patches there already: http://marc.info/?l=util-linux-ng&r=1&b=201101&w=2 http://vger.kernel.org/vger-lists.html#util-linux
Submitted to the util-linux list.
applied upstream
Re-opening. Actually FreeMiNT is broken with util-linux.
Hi Fabian, This didn't get applied upstream. I know you had various other patches ongoing that solved similar issues on other platforms. What happened ? Thanks.
well, they were applied up to the point I got with making them sane enough to submit upstream. Now I've mastered the logic behind libSM's configure, I want to use the native uuid on Solaris and Darwin, which means two platforms less to have util-linux on (and that it compiles on badly).
O.k. Do I need to do/redo anything, or are you taking care of fixing this one ?
I don't know what fixes you need. I thought your patch was applied.
o.k. util-linux-2.18-r1 which is what we still have in prefix portage. gx86 has 2.19 and 2.20 which I suspect my fixes will be in those. Can we get a revbump on util-linux in prefix ?
ping.
See also bug 389101 for a bump request.
2.20 is in prefix tree now, so this should be ok
