Description David Flogeras 2010-12-22 03:05:22 UTC
A the author of a site I follow identified a potential problem with the sys-devel/bc package (http://www.pixelbeat.org/programming/oss_bug_flow.html), and I am submitting a patch and ebuild to fix this on Gentoo

Reproducible: Always

you've sent this to the bc author already ?
Comment 5 David Flogeras 2010-12-26 16:42:33 UTC
The author of the blog where I found it had submitted the patch upstream, but I don't think they release often and figured it could be patched in gentoo until they did. I also have since discovered gentoo bug #264889 which has another small fix that might be rolled in if you decide to patch ours. Your call :)
Comment 6 SpanKY gentoo-dev 2010-12-26 18:49:39 UTC
i just wanted to make sure it has been sent upstream
Comment 7 Pádraig Brady 2010-12-26 23:09:37 UTC
I'm the blog author. I sent it upstream, and it's rolled in.
Unfortunately this is hidden due to no public repo or mailing list.
Anyway I'm very impressed with gentoo fixing this so quickly :)
