Description Jim C. Nasby 2003-12-02 15:39:12 UTC
Trying to install tora, via sudo emerge tora, the install of kdebase fails (does tora *really* require KDE?). I'm not sure what it's doing, but this is at the end of the build:

decibel@decibel.2[17:29]~:222>cat /tmp/sandbox-kdebase-3.1.4-5861.log
mkdir: /root/.kde
mkdir: /root/.kde
mkdir: /root/.kde
...

If I sudo su - to login as root, then do emerge tora, kdebase installs fine.

Tora has an optional dep on kde. If you don't want it to pull in kde, then turn off the kde use flag in your make.conf.

As far as kde's inability to install via sudo, well, it's being looked at.

Oops, didn't think to look at the emerge file; duh. Thanks for the tip.
