Description Christian Faulhammer (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2010-12-21 14:46:07 UTC
2.8.0 builds fine. It seems like a dependency problem as with the newer dev-libs/check the build also succeeds without FEATURES=test

This is really strange, patches in r1 are precisely supposed to fix this kind of build errors and network tests build are disabled :(

I am sorry that reality does not match your wishes. :) Can anyone reproduce?
Comment 4 Gilles Dartiguelongue (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2011-01-06 09:43:45 UTC
hum ok, I see now that the problem is that gnet and valgrind gets used even when FEATURES="-test", this is annoying.
Comment 5 Alex Buell 2011-01-27 09:07:17 UTC
Hello, gnet-2.0.8-r1 went stable this morning but I am still getting the same output as the one attached above (error: too many arguments to function ‘_tcase_add_test’).

IMHO, this should not have gone stable w/o fixing this problem first.

Current stable failed for me, too, so I decided to have a newer breakage. A roll-back to an older Gnome and stuff would have been a major PITA for users so I went with the lesser evil (in my eyes).

I resolved the problem by compiling dev-libs/check first. net-libs/gnet really needs to have dev-libs/check built and installed first.

This worked for me too... at least it compiled, it sounds like there are deeper issues.....
