Into an ebuild (external overlay) using: inherit cvs during emerge give 'no satisfy "dev-util/cvs"', but now cvs is "dev-vcs/cvs". Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. follow gentoo istruction at http://aeskulap.nongnu.org/download.html 2. emerge aeskulap Actual Results: follow error message emerge: there are no ebuilds to satisfy "dev-util/cvs". Expected Results: emerging package dummy work around: emerge csv remove "csv" from inherit line ebuild aeskulap-20060223.ebuild digest emerge aeskulap
So, that overlay needs to be updated. Contact its maintainers or correct the ebuild yourself.

What I really outlight was the presence of outdated references into the portage files, eg: dev-util/git in a message of /usr/lib/portage/pym/_emerge/actions.py
