In the archtesting of net-nntp/inn-2.5.1 I found that this package fails its test. Reproducible: Always
Created attachment 256952 [details] build.log with test failures
I can't reproduce those test failures. Where's your output of `emerge --info'?
Here it is, sorry. # emerge --info Portage 2.1.9.25 (default/linux/x86/10.0/desktop, gcc-4.4.4, glibc-2.11.2-r3, 2.6.34-gentoo-r12 i686) Quoting the test output: Running all tests listed in TESTS. If any tests fail, run the failing test program by hand to see more details. The test program will have the same name as the test set but with ".t" appended. Hi jer, sorry for being so robotic, I was in archtesting mode. So I ran these tests, the first one has some problems with inn.conf and the values it finds there: # ./innconf.t 9 hostname does not resolve or domain not set in inn.conf not ok 1 ok 2 string variable fromhost differs: NULL != denkmatte string variable tlscapath differs: NULL != /etc/news string variable tlscertfile differs: NULL != /etc/news/cert.pem string variable tlskeyfile differs: NULL != /etc/news/key.pem not ok 3 ok 4 ok 5 ok 6 ok 7 ok 8 ok 9 The second one is not very informative: # ./inndf.t 6 ok 1 not ok 2 ok 3 ok 4 ok 5 ok 6
So that's in a chroot with no Internet access, I guess?
(In reply to comment #6) > So that's in a chroot with no Internet access, I guess? No, it's on a stable x86 system on which this browser that I'm typing in is running. (Sorry for the delay)
> The second one is not very informative: > > # ./inndf.t > 6 > ok 1 > not ok 2 > ok 3 > ok 4 > ok 5 > ok 6 I can reproduce it too. I guess it's filesystem dependent. I have btrfs here: > $ df -i . | sed 1d > /dev/root 0 0 0 - / And your one is reiserfs/xfs?
I found this thread regarding inndf on reiserfs: https://www.redhat.com/archives/linux-lvm/2009-September/msg00009.html The test is supposed to handle this: if [ "$try" = 4294967295 ] ; then printcount "ok". but inndf returns 2147483647, so I think they just got confused as to which MAX_FOO they are really using. @tomka, does the innconf test pass for you with inn-2.5.3?

Yes, passes all tests.
