After installing sys-apps/openrc-0.6.4, start screen shows ERROR: syslog-ng failed to start acpid failed to start dbsu failed to start cpufreqd failed to start detailed messages said: /var/* readonly filesystem. after login as root: #mount said /etc/mtab is not updated for it is readonly and indicate to check /proc/mounts. #cat /proc/mounts /dev/root / ext3 ro,noatime,errors=continue,commit=5,barrier=0,data=ordered 0 0 ================ downgrade to 0.6.3 then all OK. and #cat /proc/moutns /dev/root / ext3 rw,noatime,errors=continue,commit=5,barrier=0,data=ordered 0 0 Reproducible: Always
Did you run etc-update after upgrade ?
