This is an ebuild for mod_fastcgi which is fairly old, but wide used (to my knowledge). It provides an interface for lonrunning cgi applications. The ebuild currently only works for apache2, cause I don't use apache1 anymore. A backport should be fairly easy.
Created attachment 21176 [details] ebuild for mod_fastcgi-2.4.0 Only for apache2. The standart Makefile (not the one in files) will build the stuff for apache1, but this was not tested by me.
Created attachment 21177 [details] Working Makefile to build mod_fastcgi for apache2 The standart Makefile will only work with a src tree, but with this one it will work also with only a installed apache2 ebuild.
Created attachment 21178 [details] mod_fastcgi apache2 modules.d conf file
Created attachment 21199 [details] ebuild for mod_fastcgi-2.4.2 They did a version bump yesterday. I will see if I can add apache1 support this week.
Just made a apache1 ebuild, copying stuff from mod_scgi ebuild. This seems not to be save. It has both the slot 1 (apache 1.x) and the slot 2 (apache 2.x) version inside one single ebuild. So one is not able to install a fastcgi version vor both apache versions on one system. Or do I get something wrong?
that's exactly right that there is a single ebuild for 2 different slots. see the mod_php ebuilds for a better view of it.
Created attachment 21201 [details] apache conf file for version 1.3.X A apache conf file for apache version 1.3.X. goes into conf/addon-modules
Created attachment 21202 [details] new ebuild for net-www/mod_fastcgi This one works with both major apache versions. I did tests for both versions, and they seem to run fine.
The last ebuild file (2.4.2-r1) needs Makefile-2.4.0, 20_mod_fastcgi.conf, and mod_fastcgi.conf in it's files directory.
hello, before I can look at the ebuild the copyright is not assigned to gentoo as in /usr/portage/ebuild.skel. Could you please re-upload a new version with the copyright assigned to gentoo. Thanks chuck
Note to self: dont work on bugs while on phone.
Created attachment 29245 [details] New ebuild with gentoo copyright Here a new (unmodifed) ebuild with a gentoo copyright head. Have fun!
in portage now.
