Description jeremy 2010-10-11 13:01:22 UTC
Im on an ~amd64 keyworded system. During a rebuild of the system set sys-apps/file fails. The last thing i see in the log that could be connected to the problem is the following

"invalid atom: dev-lang/python:2.6"

This is when using sys-apps/portage-2.2_rc92. If i mask that version and go back to portage-2.2_rc_91 it emerges properly. That leads me to believe that there is a problem with that version of portage but im not sure. I also wasnt sure if i should file a report against portage or not so i just set it to "Core System"

deadly-soundz / # emerge --info file

NOTE: I filed this report while chrooted from my debian desktop as its just easier for me that way since i dont have X and gnome up yet. So the kernel version and gcc version arent correct im actually using gentoo-sources-2.6.35-r10 and gcc-4-4-4-r2 if it matters.

NOTE2: This is my first bug report so i appoligise if so info is missing.

How can this possibly be marked as resolved if it is still failing? I just tried it again within the last 2 minutes and as expected it failed again.
