Why installed manuals don't convert to my locale(it set to ru_RU.UTF-8), but installed manuals in old KOI8-R.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. emerge man-pages and other packages with russian manuals
2.
3.

Actual Results:  
man pages in KOI8-R

Expected Results:  
man pages in UTF8

If you emerge man-pages, they are in English. You need to emerge man-pages-ru to obtain russian man pages. And they seem to be in UTF-8 now.

No, the root of problem is not here. sys-apps/man does not handle different Russian codepages properly, look at sys-apps/man-db(In reply to Vladimir Romanov from comment #1)
