Description David 2010-09-22 17:39:23 UTC
When a system has XFS volumes, you cannot force a filesystem check at boot (see 'man fsck.xfs'), and the fake 'fsck' that does occur may confuse some users into thinking something useful is happening.

Often an XFS filesystem check is not needed [1] but at times it may be desirable to be able to check XFS volumes (xfs_check) before they are mounted. It seems that it would be beneficial to able to force a XFS filesystem check to occur.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Boot a system that has XFS filesystems in /etc/fstab
2. Watch a fake filesystem check occur
