net-zope/plone-4.0 was released on 2010-08-30.
I will work on required ebuilds.

how far is this ?
Comment 2 Thomas Raschbacher gentoo-dev 2010-09-07 14:05:45 UTC
adding the whole python@g.o alias since i've never written a zope/plone ebuild so far..
Comment 3 Dirkjan Ochtman (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2010-09-07 14:10:08 UTC
I suspect the python team will leave it to the zope team. :)
Comment 4 Arfrever Frehtes Taifersar Arahesis (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2010-09-07 14:13:42 UTC
(In reply to comment #1)

Plone 4 needs about 80 - 100 new ebuilds. I have about 30 Zope-related ebuilds (not only for this bug) in my overlay. Please wait maybe 2 weeks until all ebuilds are ready.

Direct dependencies of Plone are listed in install_requires:

Hi.

do you need help with some of the ebuilds and/or testing?

I could need help with bugs blocking bug #308257 so that they don't distract me :) .
Comment 12 Thomas Raschbacher gentoo-dev 2011-01-18 14:18:53 UTC
the deps on that bug r evil .. ^^ but i'll see if i find any packages in the huge list i'm familiar with if i get a chance
Comment 13 Thomas Raschbacher gentoo-dev 2011-05-08 21:34:28 UTC
How r u doing with this? - just asking before I manually install all of it ;)
Comment 14 Arfrever Frehtes Taifersar Arahesis (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2011-06-06 15:31:11 UTC
I will probably skip Plone 4.0.* and add 4.1.* to python overlay.
Comment 15 Thomas Raschbacher gentoo-dev 2011-06-09 17:03:44 UTC
hmm maybe I'll try the unified installer..

Some guy in #plone @ IRC did say that he was just using the unified installer - even on Gentoo- cuz the deps r so evil ^^ I guess he's not wrong considering all the zope deps -- and zopes 'issue' where you prolly need some very specific python version.

of course if you get it in ebuilds I'll use that but I wanna play with it now :D
Comment 16 Dirkjan Ochtman (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2012-03-01 16:02:08 UTC
net-zope packages have been removed from the tree.
