net-zope/plone-4.0 was released on 2010-08-30. I will work on required ebuilds.
how far is this ?
adding the whole python@g.o alias since i've never written a zope/plone ebuild so far..
I suspect the python team will leave it to the zope team. :)
(In reply to comment #1) Plone 4 needs about 80 - 100 new ebuilds. I have about 30 Zope-related ebuilds (not only for this bug) in my overlay. Please wait maybe 2 weeks until all ebuilds are ready.
wth .. that many? ok i'll leave it to you ^^ i don'T have that amount of free time ;)
(In reply to comment #5) Direct dependencies of Plone are listed in install_requires: http://dev.plone.org/plone/browser/Plone/tags/4.0/setup.py
how's this going arfrever?
(In reply to comment #7) I'm still working on it. Please wait more time.
(In reply to comment #8) sure no problem just asking how it's going :D
Hi. do you need help with some of the ebuilds and/or testing?
(In reply to comment #10) > do you need help with some of the ebuilds and/or testing? I could need help with bugs blocking bug #308257 so that they don't distract me :) .
the deps on that bug r evil .. ^^ but i'll see if i find any packages in the huge list i'm familiar with if i get a chance
How r u doing with this? - just asking before I manually install all of it ;)
I will probably skip Plone 4.0.* and add 4.1.* to python overlay.
hmm maybe I'll try the unified installer.. Some guy in #plone @ IRC did say that he was just using the unified installer - even on Gentoo- cuz the deps r so evil ^^ I guess he's not wrong considering all the zope deps -- and zopes 'issue' where you prolly need some very specific python version. of course if you get it in ebuilds I'll use that but I wanna play with it now :D
net-zope packages have been removed from the tree.
