The handbook currently advises to copy the bzImage from a compiled kernel to /boot by hand. In recent kernels there is a more elegant way - the "install" target which copies the kernel image, System.map and kernel configuration into /boot automatically. The attached patch fixes the handbook to reflect that. Reproducible: Always

We've been over the whole "make install" thing; please check elsewhere on bugzilla and the GDP mailing lists. It's not going to happen. Still, thank you very much for filing the request and providing a patch.
