Please include the other Arabic fonts at http://www.arabeyes.org/project.php?proj=Khotot (There is 2 other fonts package in the same like) Do I have to open another bug for the those fonts ? Thank you
I opened a new bug (with ebuild) for the other font, here is the link http://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=36538
BTW I have a question When installing this ebuild does the user have to edit the file /etc/X11/fs/config ? I hope if Stephen K. Benjamin can edit the ebuild to do that (most of users use XFS) Thank you
I talked to Seemant Kulleen about this, he said they were actually working on something to automatically configure the fonts, which is why it's been a while and the ebuild hasn't been commited to portage. I was considering writing a utility to configure the fonts, but I decided against it. Not everyone uses XFS (I do though).
There are only 3 font packages from ArabEyes, and only two of those are truetype fonts. The other one I have created en e-build for already: http://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=33145
Hi, sorry for the long delay.. We've included font.eclass to Portage. The same comment #3 in bug #33145 applies to this one too. Please add ebuild header, change LICENSE and rewrite the ebuild with font.eclass, and we will add it to CVS. (If you obtain the font sources from sourceforge, you may want to use SRC_URI="mirror://sourceforge/arabeys/..." rather than specifying one of the mirrors)
bug #65849 contains an ebuild using font.eclass *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 65849 ***
