Ices 2.0.1 (ices2), which is currently in the portage tree, does not support reading mp3 files. Ices 0.4 (ices0) on the other hand, can and does.
Here is the snippet from the webpage:
Ices comes in two flavors, the 0.x flavor which supports sending an MP3 stream to an icecast server, and the 2.x flavor which supports sending an Ogg Vorbis stream to an icecast server.
I find that very silly and confusing, but it isn't my job to judge.
Could version 0.4 (ices0) please be added into the portage tree?
Steps to Reproduce:
I had my own ices 0 ebuild as described in http://forums.gentoo.org/viewtopic-p-7115876.html#7115876 but after the last update, it doesn't compile anymore.
It would be great if someone could help to debug.
