Here is the snippet: "As you might have noticed, vpnc did not alter your /etc/resolv.conf, thus not setting up DNS services for the virtual link."
Actually, vpnc alters /etc/resolv.conf.

 This snippet is completely wrong and needs to be removed along with the ", but only by IP address".

I guess things have changed since the guide was originally written. I'll fix it.
