Apparently building glibc 2.11.2 fails on amd64 with USE="multilib vanilla"
Apparently building glibc 2.11.2 succeeds on amd64 with USE="multilib -vanilla"

Is this a problem with ebuild or glibc?

never post URLs to external sites, especially things like paste sites.  all information must be in the bug report itself.  attach logs.

at any rate, USE=vanilla is most likely invalid since you ignore bug fixes.  without an actual log, i'm just going to assume that.
