These are my ebuilds for the attept to get 64-bit userland working, please test
if you are interested

the actual ebuild

instruction:
enable PORTAGE_OVERLAY in make.conf
cd /usr/lcoal/portage #(or the dir you specified)
untar the .tgz
emerge/ebuild the files manuall or use ~sparc
export PATH=/opt/sparc64/bin:$PATH to use the new binaries

This is "fixed" by using the sparc64-multilib PROFILE_ARCH.  It's still in development, but it works if using cvs portage... Hopefully we'll have it in a 2005.1 release (multilib toolchain but still with 32bit userland by default)
