Updating coot to 6.1 wants an updated tkimg which depends on libpng > 1.4, but coot itself goes looking for libpng 1.2 I will try the various revdep-rebuild magic words next. I'm pretty sure this is a local upgrade problem instead of real bug, because I know for a fact the maintainer has tested coot-0.6.1 with libpng14 when he added it to Portage. But please post full build.log here to be sure.
