xmp natively supports the IRIX audio system (although its an open question as to how bit-rotten this is), but needs a couple of changes to remove GNU-isms and gnulib to provide getopt_long.

We are sorry to close this bug.  We lack the man-power and devotion to support mips-irix in the tree.
