I upgraded x11-libs/gtk+ to 2.18.9 and with that version I can only use a small part (~640x480px) of the vmware player window. If I move outside this window the player starts grabbing and ungrabbing the mouse continously on moving. The hint from here (http://www.cyberwizzard.nl/site/blog-linux-gentoo-linux/157-fixing-vmware-mouse-flicker.html) and here (http://zenware.net/blog/?p=74) > echo "VMWARE_USE_SHIPPED_GTK=yes" >> /etc/vmware/bootstrap doesn't work on my box. Maybe this is only valid for workstation. But I can run VMWARE_USE_SHIPPED_GTK=yes vmplayer to get the shipped libs used. This should either be default, hinted during emerge or gtk+ fixed on whatever way. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Install app-emulation/vmware-player and update x11-libs/gtk+ to 2.18.9 2. run vmplayer 3. launch a virtual machine Actual Results: Only a small left upper part of the virtual machine window is useable by mouse. It's unuseable on the other parts Expected Results: The window should be useable normally. Run VMWARE_USE_SHIPPED_GTK=yes vmplayer for comparison
