Description Thomas L. Bevan 2002-05-29 00:53:15 UTC
I just upgraded to KDE 3.0.1 from KDE 3.0
and I can no longer use 'noatun'.
When I run noatun I get the message,

mcop warning: user defined signal handler found for SIG_PIPE, overriding
Started

When I begin to play a song,

unix_connect: can't connect to server
(unix:/tmp/mcop-tom/bawbaw_regex_com_au-204a

Launched ok, pid = 8290

I also noticed that there is process taking 90% of the processor time.
This process is described as
dcopserver kdeinit: dcopserver --nosid --suicide

There is also another process,
dcopserver kdeinit: dcopserver --nosid

I noticed on a post that,

"-fomit-frame-pointer" should be omitted when compiling kdemultimedia.
Otherwise, NOATUN will crash the ARTS server when playing media files.

This is obviously the source of my problem.
