Description Jiří Vyskočil 2010-04-03 15:01:07 UTC
When I try to play a song using media-sound/quodlibet-2.1, the starts skipping through the list of songs and halts after 50 errors without producing a sound. Using quodlibet-2.2 installed from ebuild provided in bug #304221 I still can't play any song, but I get a Python trace (dump file) attached to ths bug.

The problem might be related to me upgrading to Gnome 2.28 from ~arch a few days ago. Aside from Gnome related packages, the machine is mostly amd64 stable.

Reproducible: Always

These are the packages that would be merged, in order:

Calculating dependencies... done!

Note, that I'm using the quodlibet 2.2 ebuild from bugzilla. The 2.1 version from portage tree doesn't work either, but this version at least gives me the dump file. Both versions used to work a week or so ago.
Comment 4 Samuli Suominen (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2010-04-08 12:38:31 UTC
2.2.1 is now in portage, please try it.

and delete old quodlibet directories from your home directory (or try with a new user) if that doesn't work right away.

if you can still reproduce, please reopen

thanks for reporting
Comment 5 Jiří Vyskočil 2010-04-08 15:26:32 UTC
The problem was in the .quodlibet/config file (it was there probably since quodlibet got in portage years ago). It was enough to remove this one (so I didn't lose the library data). Thanks for your help. Quodlibet rocks again :-)
