FYI

<Caster> geki_: any idea about this in Ooo build? ERROR: There's no build list for testautomation
<geki_> Caster: looks like testautomation tarball has not been unpacked/downloaded?
<Caster> geki_: how could that happen
<geki_> Caster: woa, was my random guess correct?! I wonder how that could happen. usually, such strange things are caused by tempdir cleaners executed on <Caster> geki_: got no such thing
<Caster> geki_: and yeah it's downloaded, avilable in DISTDIR but apparently wasn't unpacked, wtf
<geki_> Caster: fun, no idea why. i have never had that.
<Caster> and I have two different machines with that
<geki_> Caster: though, I know that if some tarballs were not found in unpack script it would not throw an error but silently continue ... but, well, I guess there is no naming issue for the tarball.
<geki_> Caster: humm, interesting, testautomation is not unpacked nor used here. I wonder what requires it.
<geki_> anyway, off
Comment 5 Vlastimil Babka (Caster) (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2010-04-02 16:16:04 UTC
This is likely the only thing mentioning testautomation?

Comment 6 Hanno Zysik (geki) 2010-04-03 22:28:38 UTC
AFAIS it should be safe to just remove 'testautomation' from the first line of instsetoo_native/prj/build.lst.

A new test framework is being worked on. So testautomation is quite useless anyway.

remove testautomation from build.lst

Attaching a patch that allowed me to build it on the amd64 desktop (I've yet to try the x86 laptop but I hope it works as well). I still have no idea why I get this bug on two systems and nobody else. Could be some env variable or combination of flags? So I just attach it here in case someone else hits the bug too.

Still occurs here with 3.2.1. Patch works after syntactical updating.

Never got this myself... Love those bugs which only randomly show on some machines... ;-) Do you have any new info to share here?

Just that it applies to 3.2.1-r1 as well :) no idea why, must be something in environment or filesystem or whatnot.

Comment 13 Vlastimil Babka (Caster) (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2011-01-27 14:26:30 UTC
Ha ha, this is crazy but the bug seems to have transferred to libreoffice as well, although under different name. This time it's missing "testshl2" in salhelper, and the fix is again to remove it from salhelper's build.lst.

Please try 3.4.2.2 or later with gnumake buildsystem.

Yeah, that finally solved it. Thanks.
