with gtk+-2.16.6 installed, I tried emerging rhythmbox-0.12.8, but I received the following error:

./.libs/librhythmbox-core.so: undefined reference to `gtk_widget_set_visible'

rhythmbox-0.12.6 compiles fine against gtk+-2.16.6.

Solution: upgrade to gtk+-2.18-7
